Two posts in a row = severe boredom.
Anyways, I've been thinking about what accessories to wear to my wedding. I know I need a tiara, but do I want a necklace? Do I need one? I also have 2 dresses. Do I want to change accessories with the dresses? These are very tough to answer..
My ceremony dress is the most important one, obviously. It will be in all the pictures, it will have the "wow" factor... and I don't want to either under OR over estimate the potential of accessories.
I was considering a Disney Couture piece, but I think it may look a little tacky with a wedding gown..
I am also considering the BEAUTIFUL pearls that Erik bought me for Christmas a couple years ago, but they are so vintage looking that I think I am going to save them for my reception gown, which is an ankle length vintage lace gown. It suits that better.
If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE send them my way.. it's ever so important.
Thanks. <3

Necklace...if your dress has elaborate beading/stones, especially in the bodice, there's really no need for a necklace. Another thing that was pointed out to me as I was trying on dresses was that a necklace breaks up the "visual" ~ it cuts you off at the neck (so to speak), as opposed to not wearing a necklace, which elongates everything...if that makes sense. It brings the focus back up to your beautiful face...which brings me to another tip I read recently ~ you should definitely wear some nice bling on ears. Again, it brings a nice sparkle to your face.
ReplyDeleteAs for changing accessories between ceremony and reception...sure, why not?! But if you're a minimalist, and if the jewelry goes with your reception dress, as well, then why change it if it works? To wear the pearls that Erik bought you during the reception, it would be a beautiful sentiment! I was actually considering wearing some beautiful blingy/pearly earrings that Andrew bought me for a Christmas a couple of years ago, too. :-)
Good luck!!! :-D
