Two posts in a row = severe boredom.
Anyways, I've been thinking about what accessories to wear to my wedding. I know I need a tiara, but do I want a necklace? Do I need one? I also have 2 dresses. Do I want to change accessories with the dresses? These are very tough to answer..
My ceremony dress is the most important one, obviously. It will be in all the pictures, it will have the "wow" factor... and I don't want to either under OR over estimate the potential of accessories.
I was considering a Disney Couture piece, but I think it may look a little tacky with a wedding gown..
I am also considering the BEAUTIFUL pearls that Erik bought me for Christmas a couple years ago, but they are so vintage looking that I think I am going to save them for my reception gown, which is an ankle length vintage lace gown. It suits that better.
If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE send them my way.. it's ever so important.
Thanks. <3

56 DAYS!
Omg guys it's only 56 days until my wedding to the most wonderful man on the planet! I'm so excited, and so nervous.
Last week I updated my event orders and budget with my AMAZING wedding planner Traci, and now everything is perfect! You will all be floored by my pink Disney extravaganza! Hah. Anyways, I started thinking about some cute ideas for bridesmaids gifts, and I've purchased one thing, which will be so perfect. Another thing I'm working on are those silly jeweled shirts that say "bridesmaid" or " Maid of Honor". After much searching, I realized that these shirts online cost about $30-40 EACH! For a cheap tank top and some jewels, I KNOW I could do this better myself, so I am. I bought the iron-on jewels, which ran about $4-5 for each shirt, and I'm gonna take my girls to target and have them pick out a tank/shirt that THEY want, rather than the available colors on the internet. Plus, shirts at Target run about $8-10, which will be a huge savings on my part. I highly recommend this over the pre-made shirts.
So to end this blg, I leave you with an AMAZING picture. This is a real wedding cake! How adorable/rad is this?! Omg.
Look at the couple in the doom buggie! Ah! I need another wedding ;)

Showers, stresses, and such.
I am planning my own bridal shower. This isn't exactly how I expected things to happen, but it's what I'm forced to deal with. I'm actually happy to be doing it, but at the same time I don't know. Stefanie and Cori have been really helpful, and I love them for it. They have been doing as much as they can for both my shower and my wedding, and that's why they are my friends. I just wish everyone cared like they did. I feel like I give so much to my friends, and then when I need something in return, nobody cares enough to notice. One of my "bridesmaids" won't even return my calls, texts, or online messages. What am I supposed to think about that? It's pretty hurtful, especially since I have bent over backwards for her many times. Gosh, this is such a weird experience. I never thought in a MILLION YEARS that I would hate thinking about my wedding, but I do. I have been looking forward to this since I was a little girl, and now that it's crunch time, I feel like Erik and two of my four bridesmaids are the only ones that remotely give a damn. I've done everything in my power to make everybody happy but myself, and it's time to change that. Bleh guys.

So much food!

Erik and I had our tasting this past week at Disney, and it was so wonderful. I will post some pictures and explain our selections.
This is the vegetarian option, which is a veggie stuffed squash on top of a risotto with Parmesan sauce. It is AMAZING. Oh man.
This is our vegan option, which was really really good. It is a spaghetti made out of veggies with a tomato sauce. It will make my vegan friends very happy and VERY full.Last but not least, I give you cake.
Starting from the top moving clockwise, I have marble cake, vanilla w/ strawberry mousse, chocolate w/ chocolate mousse, red velvet cake, and lemon with raspberries. They were all amazing, but we ended up going with the marble, chocolate, and strawberry to make up our 3 layers. It was such a fun day... and we ate so much. I don't know how they expected to give me 3 entrees, 1 salad, a bread basket, and 5 pieces of cake... but it worked. hahaha. Thats all for now <3

Happily ever after isn't cheap!

Ok, I'm stressed. My wedding is going to cost me $22,000!!!!
Well, actually I got it down to about $18,700, but still. Oh man. I was hoping for about 16-17. I guess I'm not that far off.
Well I am a little worried. I dropped a lot of the flowers and such, but I still don't feel like that is enough!! Ah! I am going to attach my budget and see if I can get any opinions, ok? Eeeeeeek.
Here is what I cut so far:
Boutonnieres for all except Erik
Flower girl baskets since Cori bought me one. Haha.
Corsages
Ceiling draping
Floral for the centerpieces
Mickey ear favors for bridal party. [I'm gonna buy them myself. MUCH easier.]
I am thinking about dropping the floral above the gazebo, but I love it so much. =/ I have no idea. Help?

Reception Dress
I got my reception dress in the mail today! It is so gorgeous. I had to settle for ivory, since the white wasn't available after all... but I still love it just as much as I would have in white. I will post a picture soon!!!

Time to plan.

Here is the official re-cap of my planning session, which took place on Friday the 13th.
1. Flowers.
They will be mainly daisies, as planned, with some others mixed in. I am sticking with pinks and whites, with a small touch of lavender. Here is basically what my bouquet will look like:
I am having my bridesmaids flowers in the brighter daisies, as well as the floral over the gazebo in the rose garden.
I decided to have some Shepard hooks placed along my aisle, with some pink and lavender flowers hanging from them. Here is a picture of the hooks, with other flowers, not mine!
I am going to have 2 hooks on each side of the aisle, to add just enough pop without over doing it.. plus, they are only $100 a piece, so for $400, it's a lovely choice. The flower girls will be carrying baskets full of pink petals, and they will be wearing Disney dresses. Allison, my niece, will be Cinderella, Kennedy, Reid''s daughter, will be Belle, and maybe Erik's little cousin Daisy will be Tinkerbell! I'm so excited for that...
2. THE COACH!
I HAVE THE PUMPKIN COACH!!! THE DREAM CINDERELLA CRYSTAL PUMPKIN COACH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so excited for this, it is unreal. Be happy for me. I am Cinderella. [Or Ariel in a Cinderella world...]
3. Food.
This is important. We will be serving an all vegetarian meal, with a vegan option.
The main course will be a vegetable ratatouille with a Parmesan cream sauce. The salad will have dried cherries, pecans, and be tossed in a vinaigrette.
The vegan and second option will be a spaghetti served with zucchini and roasted corn, tossed in a lemon olive oil. The salad is vegan so there is no need to substitute!
For dessert there will be a vanilla creme custard with berries. Along with tea and coffee. Vegan substitute for dessert will be fresh fruit and berries.
The cake will be a mix of the 2 cakes I loved the most. The Mickey Wave and the Happily ever after. The mickey wave has small little hidden mickeys painted across the cake in a wave. The bottom and top layer will have this design. The middle design will read "Happily Ever After". The cake options are still being decided, but I'm looking at a Vanilla with a strawberry mousse filling for one layer, a lemon and raspberry for another layer, and a chocolate with chocolate mousse for the most important layer!!! Haha. I wish there was a vegan or allergy cake option, but it costs too much....
4. Favors!!!
The bridal party will be receiving customized Mickey Ear hats as their place cards. The rest of the guests will have a regular place card, with one of three favors: a white chocolate coach, castle, or glass slipper. Much to my disappointment, there was no Dinglehopper option. Hah. Feel free to comb your hair with the salad fork though if you cannot resist. I know I will...
This is the Coach favor. It will be wrapped with a pink ribbon that has our names and wedding date.5. Tables!
As you know, I am making my own centerpieces. I will have Disney provide either wreaths or petals to complement my designs. The linens will be the standard white, with the standard navy chairs. I will add a pop of color by using a hot pink napkin!!!
I think that is all I have so far.... I am working on music right now. Suggestions are needed, so feel free to give me loads of ideas!!! I need them!!!
2 punk rock kids don't exactly have the best taste in party music!!!!
Enjoy <3

Tomorrow!
So I know I have mentioned this a thousand times, but my planning session is TOMORROW! Yayyy! Time for flowers, cake, food, and all the nonsense in between. Wish me lots of luck... I'll need it.
In other news, Erik got his wisdom teeth out the other day, and the poor baby is in so much pain. I fear the day I have to get mine out... it's coming soon. Eeeeek.
Thats all. I shall write tomorrow!

Wedding Updates.

So I have started to get back into crazy wedding mode. I bought my wedding shoes, which are plastic children's versions of the Cinderella glass slippers, straight from Disneyland of course! I picked out my bridesmaids dresses. They are this silhouette with some added sashes and in a slightly different pink.
I have also created my estimated budget! I have been slacking on that out of sheer fear of the number. Luckily it is better than I was expecting. With everything I have on my wish list, including food, Cinderella Coach, flowers, ect... I am looking at about $14,500. I was pleasantly surprised by this number. I was originally hoping for under $15,000, but had little hope it could really happen at Disneyland. My goodness.
As for flowers, I am looking at pink daisies. They have always been one of my favorite flowers, and they are so colorful and simple.
If you want to see pictures of my wedding dress, feel free to email me. Rallyracerbarbie@yahoo.com [I can't post it here for fear Erik could see it!!] I tried it on again last week, and it fits decent. I still need to lose about 5 pounds to be able to breathe properly though!! I never thought at 109 pounds I would need breathing room, but hey, that is what I get for buying the dress in a size 2!
I have my first official planning session at Disney on Feb. 13th, where all the real fun will begin!! I have to work on custom building our vegetarian buffet, working out music ideas, and so much more!
Wish me luck, and have a magical day!!!!
