Time to plan.

Here is the official re-cap of my planning session, which took place on Friday the 13th.

1. Flowers.
They will be mainly daisies, as planned, with some others mixed in. I am sticking with pinks and whites, with a small touch of lavender. Here is basically what my bouquet will look like:

I am having my bridesmaids flowers in the brighter daisies, as well as the floral over the gazebo in the rose garden.

I decided to have some Shepard hooks placed along my aisle, with some pink and lavender flowers hanging from them. Here is a picture of the hooks, with other flowers, not mine!
I am going to have 2 hooks on each side of the aisle, to add just enough pop without over doing it.. plus, they are only $100 a piece, so for $400, it's a lovely choice.

The flower girls will be carrying baskets full of pink petals, and they will be wearing Disney dresses. Allison, my niece, will be Cinderella, Kennedy, Reid''s daughter, will be Belle, and maybe Erik's little cousin Daisy will be Tinkerbell! I'm so excited for that...

2. THE COACH!

I HAVE THE PUMPKIN COACH!!! THE DREAM CINDERELLA CRYSTAL PUMPKIN COACH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so excited for this, it is unreal. Be happy for me. I am Cinderella. [Or Ariel in a Cinderella world...]

3. Food.

This is important. We will be serving an all vegetarian meal, with a vegan option.

The main course will be a vegetable ratatouille with a Parmesan cream sauce. The salad will have dried cherries, pecans, and be tossed in a vinaigrette.

The vegan and second option will be a spaghetti served with zucchini and roasted corn, tossed in a lemon olive oil. The salad is vegan so there is no need to substitute!

For dessert there will be a vanilla creme custard with berries. Along with tea and coffee. Vegan substitute for dessert will be fresh fruit and berries.

The cake will be a mix of the 2 cakes I loved the most. The Mickey Wave and the Happily ever after. The mickey wave has small little hidden mickeys painted across the cake in a wave. The bottom and top layer will have this design. The middle design will read "Happily Ever After". The cake options are still being decided, but I'm looking at a Vanilla with a strawberry mousse filling for one layer, a lemon and raspberry for another layer, and a chocolate with chocolate mousse for the most important layer!!! Haha. I wish there was a vegan or allergy cake option, but it costs too much....

4. Favors!!!

The bridal party will be receiving customized Mickey Ear hats as their place cards. The rest of the guests will have a regular place card, with one of three favors: a white chocolate coach, castle, or glass slipper. Much to my disappointment, there was no Dinglehopper option. Hah. Feel free to comb your hair with the salad fork though if you cannot resist. I know I will...

This is the Coach favor. It will be wrapped with a pink ribbon that has our names and wedding date.

5. Tables!
As you know, I am making my own centerpieces. I will have Disney provide either wreaths or petals to complement my designs. The linens will be the standard white, with the standard navy chairs. I will add a pop of color by using a hot pink napkin!!!

I think that is all I have so far.... I am working on music right now. Suggestions are needed, so feel free to give me loads of ideas!!! I need them!!!

2 punk rock kids don't exactly have the best taste in party music!!!!

Enjoy <3

Tomorrow!

So I know I have mentioned this a thousand times, but my planning session is TOMORROW! Yayyy! Time for flowers, cake, food, and all the nonsense in between. Wish me lots of luck... I'll need it.

In other news, Erik got his wisdom teeth out the other day, and the poor baby is in so much pain. I fear the day I have to get mine out... it's coming soon. Eeeeek.

Thats all. I shall write tomorrow!

Wedding Updates.

So I have started to get back into crazy wedding mode. I bought my wedding shoes, which are plastic children's versions of the Cinderella glass slippers, straight from Disneyland of course! I picked out my bridesmaids dresses. They are this silhouette with some added sashes and in a slightly different pink.

I have also created my estimated budget! I have been slacking on that out of sheer fear of the number. Luckily it is better than I was expecting. With everything I have on my wish list, including food, Cinderella Coach, flowers, ect... I am looking at about $14,500. I was pleasantly surprised by this number. I was originally hoping for under $15,000, but had little hope it could really happen at Disneyland. My goodness.

As for flowers, I am looking at pink daisies. They have always been one of my favorite flowers, and they are so colorful and simple.

If you want to see pictures of my wedding dress, feel free to email me. Rallyracerbarbie@yahoo.com [I can't post it here for fear Erik could see it!!] I tried it on again last week, and it fits decent. I still need to lose about 5 pounds to be able to breathe properly though!! I never thought at 109 pounds I would need breathing room, but hey, that is what I get for buying the dress in a size 2!

I have my first official planning session at Disney on Feb. 13th, where all the real fun will begin!! I have to work on custom building our vegetarian buffet, working out music ideas, and so much more!

Wish me luck, and have a magical day!!!!
